Posing topless in the name of high fashion as Paris models bare their breasts

Rising French star Simon Porte Jacquemus certainly caught the attention of the audience at his avant garde show in Paris

Daring: The Jacquemus show at Paris Fashion Week included models with their breasts bared and wearing brown paper masks

If you're looking at the catwalk for inspiration for your summer wardrobe, this risque collection from one of Paris's hottest young designers might not be the answer.
Rising star Simon Porte Jacquemus certainly caught the attention of the audience at his avant garde show in Paris but it may not be coming to a highstreet any time soon.
At his show models filed down the runway with bare breasts with many wearing brown paper masks obscuring their faces
Others were draped with black felt hands which seemed to be groping them.
The 25-year-old, who hails from Provence in the south of France, is completely self-taught and has been described as one to watch by those in the know.
The first model out was topless apart from the outline of a tank top painted above her breasts, and faceless, thanks to a featureless paper mask, wearing stiff and oversized white trousers.

The startling collection showed many of the models with cartoon-like faces drawn on the side of the side of their heads.
While others strode down the catwalk with their faces obscured behind a brown paper oval.
Many of them had their breasts uncovered or wore asymmetrical tops with one breast exposed.
Speaking about the inspiration behind his clothes Jacquemus said he wanted to create the feeling of being a child.
He said: "I cut jackets like little kids will do — sometimes the cut is weird, there is just a half top.
"I like this randomness."
The clothes, in black, white, green and grey look like they've been made from scraps of material stuck together.
"I didn't study fashion design," he said. "I still don't know how to make a shirt or trousers. I work on my own body, I draw, and I write the story. That's the process."

Since 2009 each of the 24-year-old designer's collections has been based on a different persona of the happy-go-lucky Jacquemus woman.
His previous shows have included brightly coloured striped dresses inspired by the deck chairs and beach towels of his seaside childhood.
He included clothes influenced by the markets of his native Provence and was inspired by his grandmother Claire who was a market trader.
