7 people died today in a road accident when a fully-loaded Toyota Haice bus crashed into a Iveco trailer parked along the popular Benin-Lagos by-pass at Ute village.
The bus was taking passengers from Lagos when it lost control and collided with the parked truck with registration # SMK 799 XN around 12:30 pm on Friday.
Edo Police spokesman, Stephen Onwochei said the corpses of the deceased have been taken to UBTH mortuary.
He said the casualties included 4 women and 3 men including the bus driver.
Over speeding kills! These commercial bus drivers are often carried away behind the wheel without putting into consideration the safety of their passengers.
